Having tasted Craggy Range wines over a number of years, it was great to visit their cellar door in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand’s oldest and second largest wine region, to see where it all began. Craggy Range was founded in 1998 and the raw gravelly soil of the Gimblet Gravels is an intrinsic element of its own unique terroir. Craggy Range’s focus on quality is evident as they have forsaken entire villages to maintain unparallelled quality. (2017)
