We were lucky enough to taste some local Nepalese wine whilst we were staying at The Dwarika’s Hotel in Katmandu. The hotel is designated as a World Heritage Site and consists of traditional Nepalese architecture of the 12th, 16th and 17th centuries. The Hotel is focused on preserving the country’s rich heritage and has an extensive display of wood carvings, terracotta tiles, and hand-woven textiles. The perfect place to enjoy a glass of local white wine was sitting in the inner courtyard next to the swimming pool that was a replica of a 12th century Malla Dynasty bath. (2025)
