During our stay in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, we ventured out of the city to the Thacia Valley for the day and visited the Villa Yustina for lunch and a wine tasting of 5 wine regions. Surprisingly Bulgaria excels at high-quality, low-priced cabernet sauvignon, and also have a selection of good merlot and chardonnay. (2024)
