Whilst not renown for wine production due to its climate there are a small number of wineries in Queensland that are popular with day trippers and for events.
The combination of the warm weather conditions and the granite belt soil contribute to the unique wine being produced at the Sirromet Winery in the Redland Bay area, approximately a 35-minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. The picturesque vineyard has rolling hills with views out over Moreton Bay and is popular for its easy drinking wine and music, dining, and wedding events.
