Australia – Beechworth, Victoria

Home of Giaconda, our favourite Australian Chardonnay. Although we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying a number of bottles of Giaconda at different times, we have not been able to attend, as no cellar doors are provided.  Having said that, the Beechworth area has a specific style when making Chardonnay, and there are a number of vineyards in the area where you can visit their cellar doors and taste the style of the region.  There is also a wine bar in the main street that provides tastings from a number of the local wineries.
