We have visited the Adelaide Hills region on a number of occasions with our most recent being in October 2025. The Adelaide Hills, as the name suggests, are the hills (Mount Lofty Ranges) that are just outside of the city of Adelaide in South Australia. The Adelaide Hills is one of the largest geographical wine regions in Australia, and amongst the most diverse in terms of climate, soil and topography. It is known for its cool climate wines and the region has over 90 wine labels and 50 cellar doors. Given its close proximity to Adelaide, it is very easy to head there for lunch, or to tour any of the cellar doors.
Some of our favourite wines from this region is the Shaw & Smith M3 and Lensworth Chardonnays. (2025)
